The Tent

The Critical Care Center was wrapped in January with white shrink wrap plastic to protect the construction materials from the weather and to be able to temperature control the building.

The manufacturers of fireproofing and sheet rock require minimums installation temperatures in their literature and OSPHD is requiring that those temperatures be maintained. It is also important to protect the insulation and sheet rock from rain and the tent is doing an excellent job of that.

We have installed a large blue heating unit on the second floor and installed large temporary flexible ducts to the first and third floor in order to heat all three floors. We have placed temperature / humidity Data Loggers in the building that keeps track of the temperature 24 hours a day and provides a print out. The Data Loggers are being monitored and read by the IOR (Inspector of Record).

The wrap will be in place until the weather permits us to removing it.
