Comfort Air Inc.

Damon Burford is a sheet metal field foreman and has worked for Comfort Air for 10 years. He has worked in this trade for 13 years. His first project for Comfort Air was the Cafeteria at EMC. Since then he has worked on several other projects at EMC, and numerous other hospital, church, and school projects. He is a certified welder, and received an AA degree in sheet metal from American River College. He has been happily married for 13 years and has 3 beautiful children ages 12, 11, and 9. All of them love to hunt and fish.

Jeff Sill, has been a foreman for Comfort Air in the pipefitting division for 6 months and has worked in the pipe trade for 10 years. He has worked mainly in Industrial refrigeration, and steam and product lines for food processing plants. He is a skilled pipe fitter and a certified welder.

 

Solecon Industrial Contractors

Solecon is a mechanical contracting firm located at 1401 McWilliams Way in Modesto. The business started in January, 1981, and incorporated in April, 1985. The majority of their work is done in commercial and hospital construction. Solecon identified a market in the Central California area with a need for non-union industrial mechanical services including design and installation of plumbing, medical gas, and fire sprinkler systems. Their company goal is to design and construct mechanical systems so efficiently and effectively that project decision makers will seek ways to involve Solecon in their projects.

Plumbing foreman, Jeff Garvey, started with the company in October, 1986, but began his plumbing career in November 1978. He has worked on various industrial, commercial, and medical projects. He specializes in layout and coordination and is certified in medical gas installation.

Fire Sprinkler foreman, Seth Lacy, started with the company and began his career in May 1994. He has worked on various industrial, commercial, and medical projects. He specializes in underground, overhead, and technical fire sprinkler layout and installation.

Kirkes Electric, Inc

Kirkes Electric has been performing electrical work in the central valley since 1949. They are a family owned and operated company that spans three generations. They have been at their current location for more than 40 years. They average 70 employees, with as many as 80 during peak times. Kirkes Electric owns, operates, and maintains all of their construction equipment, including back hoes, and man lifts. They are a Design-Build Electrical Contractor. Their project experience includes medical facilities, churches, shopping centers, hotels, schools, and custom homes.

Foreman John Larson has been employed at Kirkes Electric for more than 20 years, with 23 years of electrical experience. He is certified in bobcat and forklift training, and asbestos awareness. He also has his California General Journeyman card. He has been foreman on several hospital projects at Memorial Medical Center, Modesto, including the 3 story and 6 story parking structures and various projects at EMC.
